Sussex BPOC Photography Collective is expanding, and we want you to join us!

We would love  to expand our collective with more BPOC [Black and Person of Colour / BME / Global majority] photographers and lens-based artists living in Sussex, UK.  

The Sussex BPOC Photography Collective was established in 2024 and has now created two projects and exhibitions: 

Outlooks on the English Countryside - exhibited as part of Brighton Photofringe at Colonnade House, Worthing

For Black History Month 2025, we are starting to collect and create new works. 

The exhibition will occur at Colonnade House, Worthing, the BMECP Brighton, and the Jubilee Library, Brighton.

The Socially Engaged Art Salon [seas CIC] will cover the costs of renting the space and printing the works. 

The collective meets in person or online once a month to present and discuss our work, opportunities and collaboration ideas. 

There are no membership fees or other expenses to join the collective, participate in our exhibitions, or make any other commitments. 

Pending the approval of a funding application, the next exhibition costs of hiring the spaces and printing of the works will be covered by The Socially Engaged Art Salon [SEAS CIC]. 

This might include artists' fees for creating new works for the exhibition.
