This April, Pineapple Black will offer a unique opportunity to 17 artists. We will offer artists from, or based in, the North East of England an exhibition and 3 week residency in one of our 17 ‘PB Pods’, housed in our ‘Changed Rooms’ exhibition space.

This opportunity is open to artists of all disciplines and will see each artist assigned a pod which will become their personal exhibition space for the duration of the show. How would you use your space? Paint it? Perform in it? Project into it? We want to hear your ideas.

Please see the FAQ section for more info on size's of each of the Pods. This should be taking into account when writing your proposal as the work needs to be able to be displayed/exhibited within the Pod space.

All works should be ready for display at a preview event on 17th April. Artists are welcome to change/adapt/develop their display throughout their pod residency.

To apply, artists should submit a short proposal or a summary of ideas (no longer than 350 words) along with 3 images that are representative of your practice.

Selected artists must be able to deliver and install their own work between April 13th and 16th. The exhibition preview will be held on April 17th and each artist’s pod residency will continue until May 9th. This opportunity is open exclusively to artists from, or based in, the North East of England.

Artist will only have access to their pod during Pineapple Black’s standard opening hours.
