About The Pound Arts Centre
The Pound Arts Centre is a small community arts venue in Corsham, Wiltshire. Wehosts a year-long programme of visual arts exhibitions in our on site gallery space.
The Pound Arts Open Exhibition has run for 17 consecutive years (including online over covid) and has welcomed work from hundreds of artists across the South-West working in all mediums.
The Open Exhibition will be promoted on Pound Arts Instagram page (@poundarts) to 4,965 followers and Facebook Page (@thepoundartscentre) to 4.4k followers.
The Pound Arts Open Exhibition will run from Friday 4 December to Saturday 9 January.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Submissions
- Please complete all sections of the form
- The event is open to all artists
- Artists may submit a maximum of 5 works, which must be original, unaided, and not previously exhibited at Pound Arts. They can be in any medium.
- Each artwork submitted is subject to a payment of £6. Under 16s (young artists) pay £4 per entry. Fees are non-refundable.
- You need to be 18+ to register with CuratorSpace. For submissions for under 18 a parent or legal guardian will have to register for you.
- Each work must be for sale. The price must include the cost of the frame and commissions of 30%.
- The price of an artwork cannot be changed after submission and selection.
- All artwork must be your own. Reproductions will not be accepted.
Selection
- The selection and judging panel will consist of artists and arts professionals
- The panel's decision is final
- Artists will be informed of the panel's decision by Friday 6 November
- Unfortunately, we cannot offer feedback to unselected works
Delivery
If your work is selected for the exhibition:
- Work must be delivered to The Pound on Monday 30 November between 9.30 am and 8 pm along with the exhibition agreement, which will be sent to you via email if your work is selected. Contact us through the 'Contact curator' tab if you are unable to deliver work during this time period
- Please fix a label to the back of your work and another attached by string so that it hangs in front of the artwork from the top, with: your name, address, medium, title, and price of work (including 30% commission)
- Wall mounted works must have D-rings fixed to the back. All other works must be display ready
- Pound Arts retains the rights not to hang/display any selected works
Care & Insurance
- Pound Arts will take every possible care of delivered works; however, Pound Arts cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of exhibits while on the arts centre premises
- Exhibitors should make their own insurance agreement if required
Collection
- At the end of the exhibition, work will need to be collected from The Pound Arts Centre on Monday 11 January between 9.30 am and 8 pm
- We will contact you if your work has sold and you no longer need to collect it. If you don't hear otherwise, please assume your work has not sold, and collection will be required
- Late collections are subject to a charge of £5 per work, and £5 for every additional week the work goes uncollected
- Contact us through the 'Contact curator' tab if you know you will not be able to collect your work during this time period
Preview Show
- The exhibition preview and announcement of prizes will be held at The Pound Arts Centre on Thursday 3 December from 6.30 pm
Payment
- Pound Arts will take 30% commission on all artworks sold
- Payments for sold artwork will be made to the artist by BACS by the end of January 2027
- Artists are responsible for the payment of their own VAT, if applicable

- Exhibition preview and launch event - Thursday 3 December, 6.30 pm
- Exhibition run - 4 December - 9 January
- Collection of artworks - Monday 11 January, 9.30 am - 8 pm.
After submitting your first artwork, you will then be directed to make a payment. Select the amount for the number of submissions you would like to make.
If this is more than one, you will then be able to make further submissions by submitting additional forms up to the number of artworks you have paid for.

The following submission fees apply to this opportunity.
- Adult entry one artwork - 6.00 GBP
- Adult entry two artworks - 12.00 GBP
- Adult entry three artworks - 18.00 GBP
- Adult entry four artworks - 24.00 GBP
- Adult entry five artworks - 30.00 GBP
- Young Artist Entry (Under 16s) one artwork - 4.00 GBP
- Young Artist Entry (Under 16s) two artworks - 8.00 GBP
- Young Artist Entry (Under 16s) three artworks - 12.00 GBP
- Young Artist Entry (Under 16s) four artworks - 16.00 GBP
- Young Artist Entry (Under 16s) five artworks - 20.00 GBP
The appropriate fee will be payable using a debit or credit card after the first submission has been completed. If the submission fee allows you to submit more than once, you will be able to make further submissions after the first.
