WetDovetail are an online platform and in-person workspace in Middlesbrough. We are a platform that host virtual gallery experiences for artists and other artist-led spaces in the UK, as well as hosting degree shows for Newcastle University and Teesside University.

Our next adventure in the virtual is a new concept we have been planning for the past year. We aim for this project to hopefully become bigger in scope, and we hope people take to the concept and this becomes part of the wider WDT platform as a whole.

We are looking for one studio holder in the digital realm to join our virtual project space, having their very own digital studio situated above our WDT virtual gallery and workspace launching at the end of September. 

We ask of this studio holder to submit work to us once a month as a means to build up work in their virtual studio room, with full availability for the public to visit during the three month period of the residency. 

This three month residency will finish with a show in the main area of the WDT virtual project space, this all together with promotion for this studio holder through our social media pages, @wetdovetail @wetproductionsofficial and @artistres_.

We would also appreciate the studio holder to be excited about the project and share it through their own social media pages also, maybe even tagging @the_virtual_studio in their bios if you’re that way inclined!
