Todmorden Open Studios invite applications for the fifth annual Open Studios event to be held on 7th, 8th, 9th September 2018. For all artists or makers based in Todmorden and surrounding area.
Individual artists, group studios, workshops and galleries are welcome to take part.
The TOS team work hard to publicise this event!
· A full colour brochure listing individual artists, studios and galleries, with one image and brief description per submission.
· Press releases in local and regional publications.
· Flyers and posters distributed extensively throughout the North West prior to the event.
· A couple of vinyl banners advertising Open Studios displayed in Todmorden.
· A countdown of artists and their work on our social media leading up to the event.
· And finally, a launch party to celebrate the start of the event.
We do prefer as many studios/venues as possible to be open for the whole three-day event, however, we are offering the option of taking part for two or three days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or just Saturday and Sunday.
We encourage all artists in group studios to take part and benefit from the publicity available for your work.
Deadline - 16th May 2018. No forms accepted after this date. Please check your details carefully.
£18 for each individual artist taking part.
£20 for exhibiting Galleries for a 20 word general description and gallery logo.
You need to make your payment when you apply and before the deadline. If you don’t pay before the deadline we cannot accept your application.
Cash or a cheque which should be made payable to 'Todmorden Open Studios'. Put your name and contact details on the reverse of the cheque.

Todmorden Open Studios organisers take no responsibility for Public Liability at your studio/home. You need to make these arrangements yourself. A good way to do this is to sign up to Artist Newsletter AIR membership which includes public liability insurance. https://www.a-n.co.uk/about/insurance

Artists who do not have a studio - we will endeavour to match you with a venue as best we can, but this is not guaranteed.
No frames or glass reflections on your image please. These images will be used on the printed publicity material and any social media used to advertise the event. Have you uploaded your image? This is essential.
Optional extra photograph - There is also the option to include one photograph of the artist at work to give us additional publicity material, although we cannot guarantee this will be used. Please use the same criteria as stated for the main image.
The main image of your artwork for the brochure is essential. This second image is optional.

POST or hand deliver to Shelley Burgoyne, 20 Woodlands Avenue, Todmorden, OL14 5LT. (Please do not put my name on the cheque.)
If you require a receipt for your posted or hand delivered payment please include a SAE.
16th May- hand in your payment to Shelley at the Open Studio meeting at the Golden Lion, Todmorden 7.30 pm

Details about the whole event will be in the local and wider press in the Yorkshire and Lancashire region.
You can choose to have an Open Studio for three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or two days Saturday and Sunday.
