About Cambridge Photography Gallery:
Cambridge Photography Gallery is a new independent online platform for contemporary photography.
Founded by photographers, we aim to create a space for meaningful photographic work — projects that encourage reflection and emotional response.
Our goal is to create a dialogue between artists and viewers about what contemporary photography means today.
Cambridge Photography Gallery currently operates as a nomadic gallery.
Over the past year, we have organised several online exhibitions.
This physical exhibition marks an important milestone for us and serves as a culmination of our first year of work, bringing together artists we have previously exhibited alongside new voices discovered through this open call.
Eligibility:
Open to all photographers worldwide
All photographic techniques are allowed
Artwork sales and commission:
The exhibition is not primarily focused on commercial sales. Our main goal is to provide visibility, context and a platform for contemporary photographic work.
However, selected artworks will be available for purchase during the exhibition. Sales are intended as an opportunity for visitors to support participating artists and take home work they connect with.
If an artwork is sold, Cambridge Photography Gallery will retain a 50% commission to help cover exhibition costs, including venue hire, printing, installation and promotion. The remaining 50% will be paid to the artist after the exhibition.
Copyright:
Copyright of all submitted works will remain with the photographers at all times.
By submitting, artists grant Cambridge Photography Gallery a non-exclusive licence to exhibit, print, and promote their work in connection
with this exhibition and related promotional materials.
You may use AI tools as part of the workflow or editing process of your photographs, but fully AI-generated images are not accepted.
If your work is selected, the participation fee is the only fee you'll be asked to pay. There are no additional charges for printing, installation or exhibiting your work.
If you prefer to print your own work, you're very welcome to do so and send your exhibition-ready prints to us by post. We would be happy to discuss print size and format with selected artists individually.
