Applications are now open and invited for the WIA Gallery summer open call on the theme of memory / desire. WIA Gallery run by women, for women. Discrimination in the art world exists. Women artists have been undervalued, ignored and sidelined for too long. WIA Gallery will change this, one exhibition at a time! As the Guerilla Girls say: When racism and sexism are no longer fashionable, what will your art collection be worth? Want to see your work in the gallery? Apply now for our WIA Summer Open Exhibition. We want to see painting, prints, collage, ceramics, textile, sculpture, film, video and sound art.

We are delighted to invite applications for the WIA Summer Open Call. The theme is memory / desire and we would love to see works that embody this theme. We are looking for work in mixed media, painting, prints, collage, ceramics, glass, textile, sculpture, film, video and sound art.

Applicants may submit up to 5 works. Please upload each work as a separate submission.

All works must be for sale.

Artworks cannot be substituted for other works than the ones submitted.

The gallery commission is 50%.

Each work should be no larger than 1m square for wall based works and sculptures should fit a 40cm x 40cm base and no higher than 1.5m high. Works can be any configuration within those measurements.

Curator and gallery director Sarah Norris will select the works to be exhibited in the show, out of which a winner will be selected by a panel of judges, who will be offered a show next year or a cash prize.
