We are looking for artwork featuring wild animals to feature in our second online exhibition on the theme of wild animals. Artwork in any media or style can be submitted.

The Animal Artspace is a new online space dedicated to showcasing contemporary animal art through virtual exhibitions and an artist directory. The space aims to celebrate the variety and abundance of animal art being created today, by artists at all levels and stages of their creative careers, working in any style.

We are looking for artwork to feature in our second online exhibition: WILD

Exhibition details:

• Location: Online - VR Exhibition via Artsteps, our website and Instagram/Facebook

• Exhibition Dates: 1st - 30th June 2025

What we are looking for:

• Theme: Wild Animals - artwork featuring any animal that lives in its natural environment and does not rely on humans for survival

• Style / Medium: Any visual art (drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, textiles, etc)

• Number of submissions: Up to 3 per artist (please complete a separate form for each artwork)

• Deadline for submissions: 20th May 2025

Fees:

• Submission fee: FREE!

• Participation fee:  £5 per artist (you only need to pay this fee if your work is selected for the exhibition. The fee is per artist, not per piece, so you pay the same whether you are exhibiting 1, 2 or 3 pieces!)

• Commission: NO COMMISSION TAKEN! (prospective buyers will be directed to the artist for sales enquiries)

• Directory Listing: FREE! (this is optional and is usually £10, but is free for artists currently exhibiting with us!)   

What does the £5 participation fee cover?

• Up to 3 pieces of work included in the exhibition - please use a separate form for each artwork

• Design and set up of a virtual reality exhibition hosted via Artsteps - our first exhibition can be viewed here: https://www.artsteps.com/view/67ced284c9fda5a36847fbb3 (We had a huge response to our first exhibition, with 76 artists showing 134 pieces of work, and over 200 views)
  
  
• Set up of image gallery on our website - see our website here: https://theanimalartspace.com/ (this is a new feature for our second exhibition)
  
  
• Promotional material design and marketing via Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/the.animal.artspace/  (Our first month long exhibition had over 12000 views on Instagram from over 3000 individual accounts, and over 1000 post interactions. We expect this to increase with each exhibition, and the participation fee for the WILD exhibition will enable us to utilise the advertising function on Instagram to bring in even more targeted engagement.)

• Directory listing - participating artists can choose to be added to our directory of animal artists for no additional cost (usually £10). The directory is aimed at people who are looking for animal themed artwork, to enable them to discover artists to purchase pieces from or to commission. The listing includes a dedicated artist page with an image, artist info, and links to your website and social media. The directory will be promoted via Instagram through targeted ad posts.
