No. 35 Gallery invites artists from around the world to submit work for WINGS, Birds, Flight & Beyond, an international group exhibition exploring birds, flight, freedom, movement, migration, and everything that takes us beyond the ground.
No. 35 Gallery invites artists from around the world to submit work for WINGS, an international group exhibition exploring birds, flight, freedom, movement, migration, and everything that takes us beyond the ground.
You don't need to have a bird in your artwork to apply.
For this exhibition, we are thinking about wings in the broadest possible way.
Your work might feature birds, feathers, nests, eggs, flying creatures, insects, angels, mythical beings, or the sky. It might explore migration, freedom, escape, travel, transformation, fragility, movement, nature, or the desire to fly.
- A bird sitting quietly on a windowsill.
- A figure that seems ready to leave.
- A landscape crossed by migrating birds.
- A feather, a shadow, an abandoned nest.
- A memory of departure.
- Or an abstract work that simply gives us the sensation of movement, air, lightness or flight.
If your work makes you think of wings, we want to see it.
We especially encourage artists to look through their existing practice and consider how their work might connect with the theme in an unexpected way.

The call is open internationally to artists at all stages of their careers.
We welcome:
- Painting
- Drawing
- Photography
- Sculpture

About the Exhibition
Selected artworks will be presented as part of No. 35 Gallery's international online exhibition program, bringing together different artistic approaches, cultures and perspectives around one shared theme.
We are interested not only in representations of birds but also in what wings can mean: freedom and captivity, arrival and departure, migration and belonging, vulnerability and strength, earth and sky.
