WUU2? is an online residency and platform for artists, taking place across social media and the WUU2? website.

WUU2? would <3 to invite you to apply for our first online residency 'WUU2 MATE?'. We are selecting 12 artists to take over our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for a period of 10 DAYS. During this time u'll be expected to develop a project, explore a theme, make some tingss. At the end of the residency this will be 'exhibited' on the WUU2? website.

We're interested in artists dealing primarily with themes of the online and offline space, how we communicate, perform and behave IRL and URL... generally WUU2 mate?? The works don't necessarily have to be 'internet' based, but should be suited to being displayed on an online platform. Otherwise give us what u got (y)

After selecting 12 artists the residency dates will be negotiated with each, but please bear in mind that this will fall sometime during May or June, and that you will be expected to be available to post works every day during the 10 day residency period.

Yess! Tryna write the premise. So far I’ve go heyyyy wuu2 but I don’t think that’s gonna be enough.

And every ‘residency’ will have a different theme for artists to respond to. starting with ‘wuu2 mate?’ But the general theme will be about all things URL. cos we’re millennials so we can’t help it we just <3 <3 <3 the internet.

Exactly. But it can be about IRL too. cos for us lot IRL and URL are the same? Mainly. So it’s about responding to what EVERYTHINGS up to.

But I guess that’s lyf now? like there’s so much going on, and so much not going on, there are so many certainties that create uncertainty, and we’re all up to everything and nothing really.

Exactly. Like I’ve spent all day thinking about things and being on the internet, and we’re making these plans now, but it doesn’t seem like we’re doing anything because its URL, but if the URL is the IRL and the IRL is the URL then where’s it happening what r we doing???
