2024 sees the last International Festival of Glass to be held at the Ruskin Centre in Stourbridge.  The Contemporary Glass Society has been involved with the Festival since its inception. As our time at the Ruskin Centre comes to an end and we look forward to the next era of the Festival, let’s celebrate the amazing journey we have all had.

Complete the registration form to take part in the show.

Memories are magical moments that we treasure so join us in our last Postcard Show at the Ruskin Centre and create a small treasure full of memories.

This is a call out to all members of the Contemporary Glass Society to be part of a fantastic and fun fundraising show.  Our exhibition always gains a great deal of coverage with many pieces selling - your work could be bought and added to one of Britain’s leading collections!

Who can take part?  "Thanks for the Memory" is an unselected show open to all CGS members worldwide. However, space is limited, so acceptance is on a first-come, first served basis until the maximum number that can be displayed is reached.

To take part, members simply need to fill in a registration form by 31st March.  You will then need to deliver your piece at the beginning of August 2024.

The brief to members:

  • Make a piece of glass no more than 15 x 11 cm in any direction and less than 2 cm deep.
  • Pieces will be displayed in our usual cases in the Ruskin Centre, Stourbridge resting on small shelves. (Please note lighting is restricted.)
  • To make it fun and challenging, all pieces of work will be sold for £ 50, £75 or £100. The artists retain 50% of sales.
  • Load an image of your piece as soon as it is available as these will be used to promote the event. However, you do not need to have your piece of work completed before you register your interest in taking part.
