My name is Mills, I'm an artist-curator based in Berwick-upon-Tweed. I'm particularly interested in contemporary artists whose work asks difficult questions, challenges assumptions and offers new ways of looking at the world around us. Much of my curatorial practice focuses on contemporary women artists, especially those based in the North of England and the Scottish Borders.

I'm co-founder and curator of Jackal, an independent art space in Berwick-upon-Tweed, where I curate a year-round programme of exhibitions, workshops and events. Alongside this, I lead the Women Making Art Reading Room and Women Making Art Collection, projects that aim to make contemporary art more accessible while supporting the visibility of women artists.

I'm always interested in discovering new artists and creating opportunities for more people to engage with contemporary art. I believe some of the most exciting work is happening in studios, artist-run spaces and regional galleries across the UK, often far beyond the traditional centres of the art world.
