I am a north-east England multi media artist who searches for symmetry, form and patterns in my surroundings. I take great pleasure in capturing how I see beauty in the mundane, largely through black and white photography. My creative practice is constantly evolving with the images I take, informing and steering my current work into a new found direction of wire sculpture and installation art.

I carry my phone and camera everywhere to endeavouring to capture and document what I see on my day to day adventures. Looking through the lens at the journey to many unlikely locations, festival fields to a derelict RAF base. At the heart of my practice is the deep seated respect I hold for my family and its varied history.

Multi media is a very comfortable apron for me to wear as I could be screen printing one day and sculpting out of clay or wire the next. I have a new found understanding of the relationship between my feelings and values and what I am creating. It has given clarity to an apparent narrative, with words landing in my head for my current work…

“Life is difficult to navigate but intricacies bind us together giving strength and structure to keep on moving forward”
