    Derby based artist Nicki Dennett creates multi-layered, mixed media prints inspired by life around her. Nicki’s continual observation of her environment and an appreciation of all aspects of existence inspire her work. Research and development of materials are key to my work and continually filling sketchbooks are often the idea basis for my handmade prints.

In 2025, he won the Collectors' Art Prize - Legends of Our Time Award. In 2020, he won best in show for the International Art Folio 2020 Annual award. In 2019, he was shortlisted for the Refresh Art Prize 2019.

    I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture. Both are seen as metaphors for the body and for human experience. I have been investigating this relationship for 20 years. I work mainly for exhibition or in residency and have a studio in my local town of Stourbridge, in the West Midlands.

    Born in Lancashire, painting and drawing since a young child, I gained a degree in graphic design and pursued a career in design for over 25 years, whilst continuing to paint. Painting is my passion and my purpose. Now concentrating fully on painting professionally.     As a self taught artist I create brave and bold, sea and land scapes created using oil paint and palette knives. Capturing nature’s elements, its extremes of light and dark, its stillness and ferocity. Hope just on the horizon. Originally from Sheffield now living in Derbyshire with my family. I travel the UK coastline to gain inspiration and experiences, which are put into my artwork.
