Narrative led Fine Art Textiles - Research based artist and author ‘I will tell you the story….’ from childhood, those words have captured her heart and mind, flourishing her subsequent work as an artist and writer. Familial ties are often woven within her work, having been raised within a family with both Fine Art and Textile links.
To displace the human story into the tangible form of creativity, I quietly question the impact events experienced have on our ongoing narrative line. Strong memories built in childhood may only surface decades later, where they can take on new meaning and finally be understood. My practice researches the connection between Emotional Repair x Making - It is my belief founded on evidence-based investigations that across creative disciplines, there can be a form of restoration for the author of works, brought about via the act of making, not the outcome itself - Maker: Mended. Within my work, this evidences itself in both written and practical forms. My fine art roots come to the fore as I impart the story visually, with mixed media and textiles often part of the production – A celebration of life and character in tandem with wellbeing = Making Matters.
I currently teach on a freelance basis, generally within Art Gallery settings.

My developing practice is beginning to involve more specialist research on Still Life as a muse, with a narrative undertone.
