    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Jenny Baines is an artist whose practice explores the relationship between the body, screen and space. Working predominantly with 16mm film, she performs repeated often absurd actions for the camera, pushing the limitations of her own physical endurance.

    East Yorkshire based visual communicator, and sculptor. My work focuses on colour, the natural world, and how plants connect with us. I work in whatever materials I can afford/acquire including digital drawing often incorporating handwritten lettering.     Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered. Mixed media, conceptual artist exploring emotional memory through textured abstraction, found objects and sculptural surfaces. Through painting, photography, travel or writing, create layered works that invite viewers to slow down, look deeper and discover what often unseen.

    I am primarily a painter, based in the east of England. I apply the philosophy of collage to the materials of painting. Since graduating from Chelsea College of Arts M A course in 1998 I have worked with an archive of materials generated in the studio ( canvas offcuts and dried films/puddles/fragments of paint) to construct images from imagination and memory.

    Since retirement, I work with textiles most days. I use a lot of up cycled materials and apply paint and stitch to tell a story. I also volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind, Scotland. We foster lovely pups, giving them a cosy home as they go through their training.
