    I am a graduate professional artist with BA Fine Art First Class Honours 2006. I'm inspired by the landscape and create work that abstracts what I see and experience. Often working en plein air I create dynamic & colourful compositions. I'm inspired by abstract expressionism with rapid expressive mark making & striking colours of Fauvism. I have a strong exhibition catalogue over 20 shows in 2025.

Her work embraces slowness through a process based practice, offering moments of quiet calm in a rushed and noisy world.     From my garden studio in mid-Devon, I hand build and decorate ceramic pieces from stoneware clay. Decorated by hand with coloured slips, under-glazes and oxides, each one is unique. I particularly love creating quirky, characters designed to make people smile.

    I am a freelance photographer with a wide range of photographic interests, so I don't specialise in any particular genre. I do, however, love to create images that offer an unusual perspective on the every-day, which enables me to embrace macro photography, as well as documentary and street photography.

    I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.

    Sue is a contemporary yorkshire based artist, gaining a Diploma in Fine Art and Crafts at Leeds College of Art, and a BA Honours Degree in Art and Design at Bradford College In 1997. Since then participating in various open exhibition and group shows. Primarily Sue uses oil paint, to draw out intangible moments from specific memories. Layers of impasto being a striking feature.
