    After a successful and fulfilling career spanning nearly 2 decades as an Art Teacher, I left the profession in 2018 to become a freelance visual arts facilitator . I have worked with numerous establishments throughout the North-West delivering workshops to all age groups and ability levels.     Sadly, my real name isn't Using Glue, that's a trade name sort of thing to reflect the fact that I use a lot of glue in my work. My real name is Shane O'Leary. In previous incarnations I have dug ditches, marketed pornography and written increasingly deranged reviews of increasingly bland records before finally growing up and becoming an artist.     East Yorkshire based visual communicator, and sculptor. My work focuses on colour, the natural world, and how plants connect with us. I work in whatever materials I can afford/acquire including digital drawing often incorporating handwritten lettering. My current focus for my practice is communicating the importance of our relationship with the natural environment.

    David Ian Bickley is an award-winning media artist whose body of work spans the primitive technological of the 1970’s to the digital cutting edge of today. His media work has manifested as television, installation, electronic music and video art. His themes reside in mythic and folklore motif and often use landscape as a form to reflect and process these ideas.

    I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.
