Angela Durkin Greater Manchester, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

Angela Durkin is a mixed media artist based in the north west of England. Drawing inspiration from what’s around her, she works primarily in paint with some mixed media and collage in her practice.

Angela enjoys the challenge of interpretating of the physical word through art, be that nature, the human form or the built environment. Taking inspiration from what’s around her, she is intrigued by the process of drawing and painting and the use of line, colour and texture to represent the three dimensional on a flat surface, not as an illusion, but through interpretation and expression. She finds the process of painting both liberating and meditative, working primarily in paint, with some mixed media and collage in her practice, building up, moving and removing layers and texture on the plane over time to create her work.
