    A recent MA Graduate interested in colour and the way light, movement and scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) materials.

    I am a multimedia artist whose practice explores the natural environment and the fluidity of time. My work reflects an ongoing curiosity about how time is perceived, felt, and remembered. Through painting, I respond emotionally to specific environments and internal moods. These abstract compositions function as a form of visual poetry, evoking atmosphere rather than narrative.

    I am a woodcarver, artificer and artisan pictorial sign maker. My sculpture is often for memorials, both for highly personal private remembrance and for Public Spaces. All my work is concerned with sustainability, climate change and environmental responsibility. My work has been exhibited widely in the UK and online. I sculpture in the Public Collection and on permanent display.

    Originally from Essex I have lived in The North East since 2008 with my daughter who has physical disabilities and emotional issues. I originally did a degree in textiles at Wolverhampton University in the 1990's but studied for an MA in Fine Art in 2020 at Teesside University.     Based in Sheffield, England I have been a professional artist since graduating in Fine Art (painting and printmaking) in 1998. I have worked in various artist studios around Yorkshire and worked on a diverse range of projects from commissions to specialist art workshops. Throughout college and university painting has always been the driving force behind my work.
