I am an animator, embroiderer and arts educator based in Liverpool. I use traditional crafts, particularly textile crafts used to mark family occasions and decorate homes, to evoke diverse family units. My current practice stitches and blends language, words and motifs that connect, root and bind us to places and to memories.

I use digital media to produce manipulated images, using mainly photographs taken from life images around Yorkshire and in some way areas related to this region. I use many images from lots of photographs and other media, working into these compositions with a graphic pad. I like these works of art to have a sense of realism so they can be easily be recognised by the viewer

A recent MA Graduate interested in colour, the way light and movement/scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) things.

My paintings and collographic prints are about the landscape. They consider the narrative between humanity and the environment by recording the impact of industry in my area. This includes historic quarries. I use textured mark to build up rich layers of materials, including using gesso, collage and inks which I develop into larger works
