Oluwafemi Omoboriowo is a Nigerian-born, UK-based hyper-realistic pencil and mixed-media artist whose work intricately weaves themes of migration, identity, and cultural transition. Born in Abuja, Nigeria, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Obafemi Awolowo University (ACE Chapter) and a Master’s in Fine Art with Advanced Practice from Teesside University, UK.

My artistic approach is rooted in precision, emotion, and experimentation. While hyper-realism forms the foundation of my work, my mixed-media explorations introduce layered narratives that challenge perception and evoke deep introspection. My process is deeply research-led and rooted in observation, lived experience, and storytelling. Every material is chosen for its symbolic significance, allowing realism to become a language through which themes of remembrance, vulnerability, hope, and endurance are communicated. Rather than presenting portraiture as a record of appearance, I use it as a means of preserving human experiences that are often overlooked or left unspoken. My works has been featured in major national publications across Nigeria and internationally recognized platforms in the UK, reflecting the growing global appreciation of his craft. His art has graced numerous exhibitions across the UK. I invites audiences to engage with the nuanced realities of displacement and belonging, creating striking visual narratives that transcend borders and cultural divides.
