    I am a multi media painter and textile artist specialising in hand embroidery. I have a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Hand Embroidery for Fashion, Interiors and Textile Art. I have a very broad range of hand and machine stitching skills, which I can implement in traditional, contemporary embroideries and multi media genres.

    For over twenty years, my practice as a community artist has centred on participation, storytelling, and collective making. Recently, through Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice fund, I have refocused on my personal creative work - exploring the intersection between Chinese and European folklore, inherited craft traditions, and the shifting nature of cultural identity.

    I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work.     Shona Davies and Jon Klein both studied at Sir John Cass College of Art where they graduated in 2007 with first class honours. They were also joint recipients of the Owen Rowley Prize and John Cass Purchase prize. Klein specialised in Time Based Media and Davies in Printmaking and 3-D. Dave Monaghan studied at Liverpool and Canterbury Colleges of Art where he specialised in sculpture.
