    As a Bristol-based abstract artist, I explore the interplay of texture and colour through experimentation.     Having lived on the Northumberland coast all my life my artistic senses are honed by its gritty beauty and amazing light on offer at any time of the year. With no formal art training but plenty of enthusiasm I have nurtured my artistic skills over the years, soaking up the chance to learn through many sources including books,YouTube videos, art clubs, workshops and art and craft holidays.

    El Relleno (sometimes referred to as "the filling") has been interrupted many times in his life. He sought answers to these objections to his existence and found solace in art. He has been taking photographs of nature this past year and the results have led him to believe that he has found the answer to everything. All he has to do now is make friends.

    I am an artist currently exploring print making, mainly relief printing with linoleum. The dining room in my little Lincolnshire cottage doubles as my studio. I have always been interested in the medium but had only dabbled in it in the past. However with the time and solace of lockdowns in 2020 I found I could explore and experiment uninterrupted. I am now hooked!

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with 15 years of experience of socially engaged art / social practices projects. My work is informed by my Ph.D. thesis, activism and personal experience as a mix race person and migrant.     I trained in theatre design at Central St Martins and have worked within the creative arts for over 25 years in fields as diverse as making carnival costumes to lead designer on a Bafta winning computer game. My work explores themes such as mental health and politics through a masquerade/ carnival lens.

    I am a graphic designer and a visual artist. I work mostly in oil on canvas but work sometimes with acrylic and water colour. Most of my recent paintings were influenced political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of the Renaissance artists. I do not like artworks to be just for decoration but to evoke feelings.
