    Working with clay has always been my passion and escape. I graduated with a BEd Hons majoring in art and ceramics and taught for many years. Following early retirement I work in my studio in Hexham, Northumberland where I make small scale ceramic sculpture based on my immediate environment and on my relationships with landscape and within family.

    I am a Brighton based artist who explores the weird and the wonky through watercolour, pencil drawings and mixed media ornamental art boxes. I received my degree in Cultural and Historical Studies from the University of Brighton and have exhibited at Newhaven Art Space, Pretty Neat Gallery, and Artist's Open Houses and my work will soon be shown at Animalartspace in the Drawing Exhibition.

    I am a neurobiologist by day and artist by night. I explore various topics directly impacting me like the emotional impact of chronic pain, the nature, and the science around me.     I resumed making sculpture in 2014 and have since shown sculpture, audio visual pieces and drawing. I am interested in the experiences of new, older artists returning or starting to make art that takes into account contemporary practices. I make constructions that are material and tangible and whose component forms often have a direct relation to the features of the gallery or site.
