I am a Brighton based artist. A working mum who tries to find a time and space to express herself via art. This is passion that has been put aside and pushed down the long to do list. Putting myself first became very important since last year I had a mental breakdown and panick attack. Recently joined the Brighton Women Artists group whose main aim is to promote women from all background.

I am experimenting in between canvas and 3 dimension. Between colour and textures. My art is based truly on researching what different materials can fit together and merging them onto one platform. I do have a vague idea in my head but in the end it is an always evolving communication with the material. An experimental finding a conversation with my work where we both give up and give in. My current material is resin. Hard to change once settled in, but not necessarily final form. I am mixing it into a canvas where it becomes nearly 3 dimensional. It is also a glow in the dark experience, offering a different view in daytime and comes alive in the dark. I am now trying to move onto massive canvas sizes and using recycled materials like soda can tabs or pompoms and wooden sticks playing with rhythms and repeating patterns. It is just like music on a canvas. I Am also thinking of making my projects sensory, the ones that the audience can touch or play with e.g the soda can chains wouldn't be fixed to the frame, but when people play with them it would create sound and motion. Action and reaction.
