Christine Eltherington North Yorkshire, United Kingdom
Hi, I’m Christine Eltherington, an abstract artist/curator and founder of Proclaiming Art. My passion lies in creating bold, expressive pieces that the heart sing. Since 2007, I’ve been bringing my artistic vision to life, sharing my work through exhibitions and connecting with art lovers like you. Abstract art has always been my creative sanctuary.
Artist & Curator Profile
With a passion for creative expression that spans nearly two decades, I’ve been actively involved in a range of exhibition projects since 2007. My journey began with showcasing work at venues such as Emmanuel Church Art Space and later, as part of an art collective at The Holy Biscuit. In 2020, I embraced the digital shift and took part in an online exhibition with Breaking Ground Art, expanding my practice into virtual spaces.
My artistic voice continues to evolve, and recently I’ve been exploring the raw, expressive world of grunge art. This new direction feels like home—intuitive & textural. One of my first pieces in this style, The Land of Fire & Wild Ways, which is now featured on my website. The process of creating it felt like free-falling—unplanned, instinctive, and exhilarating.
In 2022, I made a decision to expand beyond creating art. I began exploring solo exhibitions and collaborations with other artists. That exploration led to a bold new chapter: in 2025, I launched Proclaiming Art, a curatorial venture focused on showcasing meaningful, thought-provoking work online. As both an artist and curator, I’m passionate about creating platforms for voices that need to be heard—work that stirs the soul, challenges perspectives, and proclaims truth through beauty.
