    I’m a Walthamstow-born musician and photographer working as Hollow Ponds. Formerly a member of Stereolab, I now release my own music under the same name and freelance as a French horn player. My photography explores reflections in liquid — puddles, rivers, oceans, coffee, spilled drinks and occasionally less appealing substances — transforming overlooked surfaces into strange, painterly worlds.

    I am an artist and founder of Oriel Cardi Bach, an independent contemporary gallery in Cardigan, West Wales.     Ali Pickard The Yaffingale is interested in history and modernity, which stories get to be told, and who is telling the tale, both within fiction and society. She works with craft techniques within fine art sculptures, principally in textile and hand-embroidery now, mixed with wood, metal and automata.

    As a studio-based painter I rely on photographic images. These are often those found on social media or then internet. As a gay man I am also interested in exploring the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with and redefining the idea of masculinity. My work explores narrative, colour, line, composition, and mark-making to evoke an emotion or develop the narrative within an image.

    Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered. Mixed media, conceptual artist exploring emotional memory through textured abstraction, found objects and sculptural surfaces. Through painting, photography, travel or writing, create layered works that invite viewers to slow down, look deeper and discover what often unseen.

    I am a Redcar raised photographer who seeks meaning in the mundane. I prefer black and white photography , but not exclusively. I use any camera I have to hand working with Fuji X-H1, Pro 1, X-E1, Canon 200D, 5D mkiii, and film photography using the Canon AE-1, Prakitka and the medium format plastic fantastic Holga 120N.     My mixed-media practice is influenced by science and often draws inspiration from my Dutch/Brazilian heritage. It aims to encourage the viewer to question knowledge and value systems by teasing their cognitive senses. Since graduating from Goldsmiths in 2004 I have exhibited in galleries, museums and alternative venues across the UK and done residencies in France, Holland and Finland.
