A self-taught wildlife sculptor creating emotionally driven pieces that celebrate the character and connection of animals. My work brings moments from the countryside into tactile, lasting forms for the home.
My practice centres on sculpting animals in clay, capturing intimate moments that reveal character, emotion and presence. I focus on the quiet language of posture and gesture—a tilt of the head, a protective stance, a moment of rest—using these details to create pieces that feel alive and relatable.
Much of my work explores endangered species, reflecting themes of vulnerability, protection and resilience. Through these sculptures, I encourage viewers to connect with animals not as symbols, but as individuals—fostering empathy and awareness of the fragile natural world.
Working primarily in clay, I hand-build each piece, drawn to the material’s immediacy and honesty. Every mark records a decision; every surface holds touch. By experimenting with texture and form, I balance fine detail with warmth and vitality.
Sculpture came to me unexpectedly and has grown into a defining practice. What began as a personal turning point now drives a body of work rooted in storytelling—inviting people to pause, feel, and protect what might otherwise be lost.
