My name is Emma, and I'm an illustrator, maker and workshop facilitator based in Leeds, UK. I love to use art to expand people’s knowledge, awareness and curiosity (including my own!). A lot of good can come from using art to support our understanding of ourselves, one another, and the world around us. I get very excited when art is the catalyst for important conversations and ideas.

My actual artistic practice is quite varied – animation, automata, crafting, sculptures, story telling, drawing and more! But at the centre of it all is my love for art’s power for positive social impact.

I am currently working on a long term big project: a collection of autobiographical short illustrated stories centred around living with mental illness and autism. I aim to use these to help start conversations around what helps and what doesn’t work so well when navigating life and services. These conversations would then help make actual changes to how health services and the general public perceive and support us. I want to turn this into a community project in the future, so that more stories get told, and more people get heard.

I also work on smaller passion projects that are simply meant to spread a bit of joy. These are available for purchase from my Etsy shop.
