    I am a mixed media artist based in Bedfordshire. My recent work has focused on abstract, geometric and surreal patterns and shapes, expressing underlying themes of mental health and disability. I graduated from the University of Bedfordshire with a BA (Hons) in Art and Design in 2010, after previously studying fashion and textiles and fine art.

    I'm a ceramic sculptor who loves clay. The infinite possibilities of clay as a medium appeals to my need to constantly evolve my work as well as my love of learning and challenging myself. I love trying new techniques and pushing the boundaries with much of my work now single fired. Teaching adds another layer to that as I run a membership, classes and workshops from my Cambridgeshire studio.

    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with 15 years of experience of socially engaged art / social practices projects.     Misiones (b.1960), Argentina, Zavala grew up in an artistic environment of writers, musicians, and landscape painters, and these reemerged later in his life when he adopted art in different formats. Past awards include public commissions for an urban sculpture in Hertfordshire in 2006. Zavala was trained in fine art at the Newlyn School of Art in 2021-22. He has lived in the UK since 1996.

    My practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and texture through the dual mediums of oil paint and clay.     Born in Lancashire, painting and drawing since a young child, I gained a degree in graphic design and pursued a career in design for over 25 years, whilst continuing to paint.     I am a photographer and a qualified teacher. I tutor workshops in basic digital photography and cyanotype printing. My main practice is in documentary photography.
