A recent MA Graduate interested in colour, the way light and movement/scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) things.

I see my art as a major means of communication. I rely heavily on the works to convey powerful and important messages to my audience. I’m always curious about ’man’ and his/ her thought processes. I prefer to delve deep into the psyche of humans, but despite that, always try to seek and find meaning and beauty in the most painful situations and darkest nights of our existence.

An artist and psychologist, I explore the human experience from my academic activities. I illustrate psychological phenomena, theories and concept in light of the current social context and of our future. As a result, my visual language presents itself in iconic, timeless and geometric forms. Science and art converge into a visual artform of heightened aesthetic sense and vivid compositions.

My name is Sarah and I produce both stained glass pieces and fused glass decorations under my business name ‘This Lady Makes’. I am endlessly fascinated by the results that these two techniques produce and hope to expand my practice to include other materials that I have explored in the past.

Currently working in Bristol, Jess grew up in Cornwall and its elemental nature seeps through into her work. The sea comforts, it is a safe place, and it is used as subject, object and memory. Jess graduated from the University of Plymouth with a BA (hons) in Fine Art and combines this training with skills handed down by previous generations.

I'm based in Leeds and currently painting is at the forefront of my practice. The paintings are about the people I know and landscapes that are painted from memories of special places. I attempt to exhibit the work regularly, and curate solo and group shows at 'Gallery 16', a venue in my house. I have also created many sculptures, mosaics and murals for the public realm.

I make what scares me AND WHAT BRINGS ME HOPE………My work is an exploration of power, violence and inequality in society, but also a search for hope, certainty and connection. The disciplines I employ are as varied as the materials I use.
