James Briggs Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

James Briggs is a Fine Art graduate from Winchester School of Art and is currently studying for an MFA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University. His studio is based at the Backlit Gallery.

Living and working in Nottingham, James uses sculpture and installation to explore the everyday, the sublime and the pure emotion of observation in regard to forms and architectural structures.

Often site specific, Briggs' sculptures have the viewer in mind, raising awareness to their surroundings, deconstructing the space around them so that they too can be part of the narrative.
