I am a Devon based mixed media artist who trained at a London art school in 1992. Working intuitively across painting and mixed media, I create expressive figurative works that explore identity, memory and the things that are often left unspoken.

Working across acrylic, oils charcoal, graphite, collage and handwritten text, I build layered figurative paintings that evolve through a process of making, obscuring and revealing. Rather than creating literal narratives, I use the figure as a vessel for emotion, inviting viewers to pause and form their own connections with the work. Stillness, ambiguity and vulnerability sit at the heart of my practice. I am interested in what remains unspoken—the moments of hesitation, reflection and quiet resilience that shape our inner lives. The physical surface of each painting becomes a record of this process, with every layer contributing to a sense of history, presence and emotional depth.
