I am an artist based in Sheffield, UK. I have painted for many years, after studying at Sheffield polytechnic, and gaining an HND in Visual Communications.
I have loved art and design since being a child, and have been creative for most of my life. Over the last couple of years I find myself having more time to dedicate to my passion, primarily painting using acrylic paints and mixed media. I painted my first portrait of my Father after he died in 2015, and it is from then that my interest in portraiture and figurative work developed. My current work sits between realism and abstraction, I paint expressively, with loose brushwork, and graphic outlines. In my more recent work I underpaint with vibrant neon colour, and enjoy allowing this to contrast with softer tones and textured backgrounds.
