    I am a multi-disciplinary artist, with 15 years of experience of socially engaged art / social practices projects. My work is informed by my Ph.D. thesis, activism and personal experience as a mix race person and migrant.     I am a neurobiologist by day and artist by night. I explore various topics directly impacting me like the emotional impact of chronic pain, the nature, and the science around me.     I am a socially-engaged, early career, multidisciplinary, conceptual, female visual artist based in the West Midlands, UK.     I am an artist and founder of Oriel Cardi Bach, an independent contemporary gallery in Cardigan, West Wales.
