Rachel Larkum Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
With over 30 years of experience in the creative industries, I have worked across animation, interactive design, games, and graphic design. Alongside my professional practice as a graphic designer and animator, I also lecture on the B.A Animation & Illustration course at Cambridge School of Art in the UK.
In recent years, I have been developing a new body of work that reflects my long-standing interest in people and community. Much of this has grown out of my travels, where I have created reportage drawings that explore the theme of community in its many forms. My work seeks to capture both the strength and fragility of human connections, examining themes of identity, belonging, and collaboration. I am fascinated by the ways people come together, work alongside one another, and share their stories. My previous projects have centred on documenting people and places, and these ideas continue to inform and shape my current practice.
