Trained at Leeds City College and the Harrogate College of Art in Fine Art and Design.
Mainly specialising in oil painting , she is particularly drawn to the application of texture to her work. Her interest is in surfaces, their formats and the complexities of light upon them.
She is also a competent portrait painter, in particular children’ portraits. She has exhibited widely and supported many charities through her work, including St. George’s Crypt The Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the Army Benevolent Fund and Motor Neurone Disease.
