    I am a tapestry artist, weaver and textile designer based in creative studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. My background is as a professional artist before evolving into textiles. I like to use my colour knowledge with fibre creating unique items for people and their homes - such as framed tapestry art, rug making, woven cushions/bags etc.

    Katy works with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She is currently making wearable accessories and clothing using the same techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and shops.     I am a multimedia artist, interested in the magic powers that inanimate objects can achieve through our spells. Teddy bears are my queer talismans. My film practice begins with a desire to heal feelings of loss, solitude and alienation, by exploring symbioses between beings. Working with the practical immediacy of the iPhone, I use presence, stillness and methods of meditative contemplation.

    My work is completely concerned with context, process and materials. I make paintings, drawings and collages, often on a very large scale. I use the dark room as an experimental space, making camera less imagery and double exposed 35mm. I use Lo-Fi audio techniques collecting field recordings and glitched samples.
