Lizzie paints in oils and watercolour and lives in the heart of Somerset on a rural farm

Lizzie is a painter living on a rural farm in the heart of Somerset. Having run a commercial enterprise for many years, Lizzie was able to return to painting and printing during the covid pandemic, after a break of many years Her paintings include observed objects and found pieces from nature set up as still life studies, as well as simple, everyday tables and windowsills reflecting domestic life. More recently Lizzie has focused upon the figurative, painting people and capturing an essence of their character through close observation in her studio at the farm Her paintings depict a passion for colour and how the light falls on and around the subject. Lizzie paints in oils and watercolour and sometimes uses printing and collage to add another dimension finding a real joy the creative process.
