  Back to profiles

Based in Cheshire and Lincolnshire, I am a multi-disciplinary artist bridging a successful studio practice with major public commissions. I harness the chaos of life into facetiously layered studio work, whilst facilitating collaborative community art for clients like Aintree Racecourse and Liverpool BID to create sophisticated public art with a deep sense of local ownership.

My studio practice is rooted in a tactile, material-led exploration of texture, paper and print. I work instinctively, collecting and manipulating fragmentations of print—from mono and block-printed papers to found materials—building complex, layered surfaces . Conceptually, this process is about creating a deliberate, structured container for the world around us; I am interested in how fragmented, overlooked details can be reassembled to tell a deeper story. It is a slow, methodical alchemy of cutting, arranging, and pasting, where the physical act of making becomes a way to deconstruct and reframe the environment. I balance regular gallery exhibitions (supported by Dot-Art, ArtCan and Castlefield Gallery) with a deeply rewarding socially engaged practice. Stepping into the dual role of guide and maker, I collaborate with local schools and community groups to translate raw, grassroots narratives into sophisticated public art installations. I feel incredibly lucky to spend my time bridging these two worlds: Harnessing the chaos of life with more or less carefully selected collage elements facetiously layered  into intriguing studio work whilst facilitating collaborative projects that leave spaces brighter and give communities a genuine sense of ownership over their local area.
