I am Gabe.G Taylor, an artist practitioner based in the West Midlands. I have a BA in Illustration, and have recently achieved a Masters degree in Visual Communication at BCU. Post-education, I am working under the moniker 'Outside The Mass', aiming to bring my unique blend of Fine Art and Illustration to a new audience, both locally and beyond.

Within my artistic practice, I work with traditional media to champion visual fluidity, choosing to leave ‘mistakes’ in my work. I see a warped edge/smeared line/accidental fingerprint as a part of a pieces history- a visual depiction of the journey an artist takes to create a piece. I apply this artistic ethos to all areas of my work, whether I am creating conceptual Fine Art, live Reportage art, Illustration or beyond.

I often imbue my art with themes of social isolation, overwhelming capitalist culture and queer issues. It's important to me as an artist to have my work question it's viewer, allowing them to engage in important discourse.
