Rachel Alleyne – Founder, Alleyne Art Academy Rachel Alleyne is the founder of Alleyne Art Academy, an initiative dedicated to nurturing creativity, artistic confidence, and visual curiosity in young people.

My artistic practice is deeply rooted in rigorous formal training, evolving from precise figurative study into abstract expression, and is inextricably linked to my mission as an educator. From Figurative to Abstract: I began my early career as a figurative painter, spending countless hours drawing and painting from life. While my contemporary work embraces a more abstract language, it remains deeply informed and structured by that foundational discipline of observation and form. Traveling has been vital to my vision, allowing me to explore light and atmosphere through a celebrated series of seascapes in Barbados and landscape dialogues like my "In Turner's Footsteps" exhibition at Tate Britain, which celebrated contemporary responses to environment and art history.
