    I am a textile artist living near the coast and influenced by the rough weather and the wonderful colours of the sea and the moors . I have a studio -- The Black Cat studio and like to do series of works based on the landscape and the seasons . Also climate change , with a big collection now of felted wall hangings all depicting the effects of weather patterns.

    I am primarily a painter, based in the east of England. I apply the philosophy of collage to the materials of painting. Since graduating from Chelsea College of Arts M A course in 1998 I have worked with an archive of materials generated in the studio ( canvas offcuts and dried films/puddles/fragments of paint) to construct images from imagination and memory.

    I work from Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield. My sculpture & installation practice uses steel wire, salvaged materials & writing to explore invisibility, voicelessness & the politics of periphery.
