    I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with a background in Furniture Design who also teaches art and woodwork. I recently completed an MA in Creative Practice at Leeds Arts University, focusing on developing my artistic practice.     Graduating in 1987 from Maidstone College of Art, with a Fine Arts BA (hons) degree I entered the world of teaching after gaining a PGCE at Bretton hall.     Sophia Rosenthal was shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2024, and won The Judith Tucker Memorial Prize selected by Lubaina Himid, Griselda Pollock and Harriet Tarlo. Graduating with a Distinction in MA Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School, Sophia subsequently won the Standpoint Artist Residency Prize 2024 which culminated in a solo show, 'Golden Hour' 2025.

    Alison Lowry is a visual artist based in Saintfield, Northern Ireland. Her ground breaking work, ‘(A)Dressing our hidden truths’, shown at the National Museum of Ireland, (2019- present), was one of the first acknowledgements of the Magdalene Laundries presented in an Irish Institution. The Museum subsequently purchased the exhibition for their permanent collection

    In 2024 I became aware of the huge potential of acrylics so have switched across from watercolours that I have done for 10 years or so. Loving the fact that you can use almost anything to create a picture and it is a far more creative media. I use the brand name 'Random Acrylics' because they will be exactly that as you will see what you want to see.
