West Yorkshire born and based, I am an emerging artist exploring visual art and storytelling through painting and drawing. I specialize in the symbolism of birds, and observe the people and built environment around me to celebrate the mundane beauty of everyday life.

My artistic practice has developed over the last decade and I am currently telling my story via photography, paint and ink. Alongside this I occasionally move into creative writing. I've been fortunate enough to have received an award from SANE, the mental health charity this year and invested in life drawing classes and materials. As my confidence grows, I am exhibiting locally, responding to open calls, competitions and participating in festivals and art trails, showing my work to the public for the first time. I am now exploring moving into studying for a degree in creative practice . I would like to champion women artists over 50 who have not had a voice and work with groups to facilitate the power of creativity to improve mental health and well-being.
