I am a fine art photographer and writer exploring humanity’s connection to nature. Influenced by personal loss, spiritual enquiry, and Carl Jung, I blend visual and written storytelling to evoke stillness, wonder and reflection. Inspired by rugged Northern landscapes, I weave ecological and spiritual narratives that foster a deeper sense of belonging and care for the natural world.

As an artist, my practice is rooted in monochromatic fine art photography and reflective writing - mediums that allow me to explore the profound relationship between humanity and the natural world. By blending visual and written storytelling, I aim to create a contemplative experience that bridges the seen and the felt, offering both philosophical and emotional insights. Influenced by personal loss, spiritual enquiry, and the writings of Carl Jung, my work reflects a personal journey of healing and self-discovery.

I immerse myself in landscapes, observing their quiet, often-overlooked facets across seasons. This process involves intuitive observation, field note musings, and the translation of these reflections into cohesive bodies of work. My choice of monochrome is deliberate, emphasising the timelessness and emotional resonance of the subjects. Through this lens, my narratives weave a tapestry of ecological storytelling and spiritual reflection.

Nature is my primary muse, particularly the rugged beauty of places like Cumbria, Yorkshire, and Scotland. Childhood experiences, such as exploring the countryside, an early career in farming, and observing nature through a microscope, nurtured my fascination with the natural world. I am inspired by landscapes as storytellers, uncovering their inherent narratives rather than imposing my own.

My goal is to create moments of wonder and stillness amidst the chaos of modern life, encouraging viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect with both the natural world and their inner selves. Through my work, I hope to foster a deeper awareness of our ecological interconnectedness and inspire a sense of care and belonging.
