Small scale pottery from Nottinghamshire, Love doing fairs as it allows me to interact with potential buyers and enthusiasts.

I like being small scale as a potter. I'm definitely not a production potter, I would get bored and lose interest. I don't always have a plan as to what I make, so most things are different from each other. I don't make hundreds of mugs and plates... I have so much admiration for those who can, but for me, I would lose the will to live. I don't have the concentration abilities to commit to it. I am not a 'professional', whatever that means. I am a potter because I love making pottery, I love the process of making, and enjoy the smelly, smokey side like pit firing, clay/foil saggar firing and raku, and I love the 'fire'.
