Artist/Creative practitioner: graduate of Wimbledon and BCU Schools of Art. Working with contemplative making practices to investigate feminist narratives of touch and witness. Fascinated by the space of drawing; sharing its potential. Investigating poetics of beauty and injury, poise and longing through the enduring presence of objects and land. Happiest outside, in water, within a view

My practice is guided by a fascination with intimate and contemplative making practices; sculptural drawing being a grounding focus. Durational and seasonal observations of materials and objects become animated through film, photography, drawing and writing. Imagined time lines present rhythm and atmosphere. Curator space presents examples of practice.

In 2022 I completed a period of observational research, process and skill mentoring (supported by an A-N bursary) to produce 'This Quiet House' - exhibited in September '23 at GO Gallery, Stourbridge. This work involved film, drawing and piano; it considered the place of a garden as a place of slow making and reflective enquiry to rekindle sculptural practice. I placed parts of a gifted piano, within my garden, to be observed over 12 months. This soon became 24 months as Covid-19 challenged the timeline. I documented the change of the piano pieces across the seasons as they deteriorated/morphed into new form and language of piano. I gathered veneer as it dried, separated and flew across the garden and documented rusting, insect life and rain patterning within materials.

Large scale drawing workshops have developed through an interest in sensing and compassionate touch. These become vital to an enriching creative experience for all ages and abilities. I deliver across museum, gallery and outdoor venues; enabling attendees to have a large scale experience of drawing using bilateral, sense based approaches to mark making and creative expansion. Commissioned workshops include: Creative Black County: workplace pilot, British Association of Art Therapists: CPD day workshops, Glass Museum Stourbridge: closed museum workshops, Rural Art Hub, Ellesmere, 'Landscape Intensity' weekend.
