I am primarily a Landscape Artist but, also create still life and narrative paintings. These are mostly in oil paint. I work out of a studio in Wood Green, part of The Cumberland Road Collective, a group of some 40 Artists and growing. My work has been selected for The Discerning Eye, Exhibition, 2024 and is held in Singapore, France and the UK.

My work is generated by my emotions and reaction to situations that I come across when outside, or, travelling. 'You turn a corner, see a vista and there is the urge to convey that situation to the viewer, initially, in a drawing'. I then take these drawings and in the Studio create a painting. These works are mostly figurative but, all work has an element of abstraction and there are no exceptions to this. I like to create monochrome paintings, adding colour if I am of the view that this better assist the in the representation of my initial reaction to the vista I have seen. I have a Diploma in Painting from the Sir John Cass Art College and have taken numerous short course at The Royal Drawing School, Heatherlys and the Slade.
