I am a neurodivergent textile artist whose work is rooted in a lifelong affinity and deep bond with animals. I create wildlife art on hand-dyed canvases by collaging fabrics and using free-motion machine embroidery to create a detailed representation of the subject.
Emerging as a way to navigate chronic, overlooked health challenges experienced by myself and many other neurodivergent women, my practice allows me to explore my emotional world by connecting with the characteristics and symbolism of the wildlife I depict. This helps bring calm to my nervous system and a sense of grounding through creative expression.
