I was born in London in 1953. Studied Fine Art (painting) at Sheffield School of Art and Design graduating with an Honours degree in Fine Art in 1975 I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and Iceland. I have been a photographer for over forty years qualifying as an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photographers and the Royal Photographic Society.

I belong to the 'purely self indulgent' school of photography. Yellow paint daubs on cobblestones, tens of thousands of flocking migrating birds or sheets of rusting corrugated iron, my subject matter are inherently catholic. The essential ingredient in my practice is 'the seeing'. Looking in detail at whatever environment I find myself in. Identifying prospective compositions and transposing them into a two dimensional format.
