Tehila Designs Greater London, United Kingdom
  Back to profiles

Hi I'm Veronica Umoetuk. I create art jewellery with a story. I originally worked as a contract legal and health information professional/librarian in various trade associations until 2008. After the recession I decided to retrain and went on to study Jewellery manufacurre and design at the British Academy of Jewellery in London qualifying with a Level IV advanced Diploma at the end of 2013.

There’s nothing like wearing handcrafted jewellery that tells the unique story of strength, perseverance, inspiration, and empowerment. When you wear a Tehila Designs handcrafted jewellery piece you’ll discover that the precious metals + gemstone pieces are not just created to be a form of body adornment and beauty, it provides a personal story that relates to your life’s journey. From the intentional bashes and textures on the surface that tells a story that life isn’t perfect, but with our flaws, challenges, and disappointments we can continue to thrive forward.

The pieces have been described as "appearing to be simple, sometimes delicate yet very effective, elegant, chic and very hard wearing".

WEAR THE STORY OF STRENGTH, PERSEVERANCE, UPLIFTMENT AND EMPOWERMENT

Do you want something unique for yourself or someone you know which has a personal message that relates to your journey through life? then Tehila Designs is for you or them! Some of the collections created includes the foil brunch, the mountain and hidden treasures. New for October 2018 includes the bent but not broken range, which comprises of both mini and standard size versions, and also additional pieces to create a full collection for the obsolete range, to be uploaded from end of October onwards.

The Foil brunch - was inspired by crushed up foil paper which represents the bashes we often take in life, the message behind this art piece is to show that everything can be made into something new and beautiful. The Mountain - we must not focus on how big a challenge might be but look past the height of the "mountain" no matter how scary or uneven the path might be or how rocky it appears we just need to take one step at a time until we reach the top! Hidden treasure - our gifts and talents are usually hidden away in places we would never have thought of. It's up to us to seek ways on how to discover our giftings. The pieces are unique, created in limited editions sometimes with unusual flaws life is not perfect they are very hard wearing although they appear to look delicate. Generally speaking the inspiration for the pieces comes from everyday life experience which I use as a message of upliftment and encouragement for the wearer to cherish forever.

The pieces are handcrafted using precious metals and sometimes incorporating other materials like precious/semi-precious gemstones and genuine pearls.
