Isobel Denton West Yorkshire, United Kingdom
I’m a Yorkshire artist based in Thurstonland (@abitmoreink). Rooted in my local landscape, I bring a playful approach to paper and textile crafts, cultivating a dye garden to make handmade botanical inks, pigments, papers & sculptures from repurposed materials. I also work with The Children's Art School as lead artist, running free weekly drop-in creative art sessions for kids at @makerworldhudds.
I am an artist exploring how art can be made with a lighter environmental footprint. My practice spans sustainable paper and textile crafts, driven by a closer connection to the natural world. From my specialist dye garden, I grow, gather, and reuse materials to create handmade botanical inks, pigments, and papers. Through a playful, material-led approach, I transform humble, discarded fragments into tactile forms and sculptures. Alongside my personal practice, I am the lead artist for @amakerworldhudds for The Children’s Art School.
