Andrew Stratford is a contemporary painter whose work explores the dynamic interplay of light, colour, and atmosphere within the natural landscape.

Andrew studied Design at York St John University, graduating with a BA (Hons) QTS, before completing an MA in Creative Practice. His career began in education, where he worked as a teacher for 25 years, nurturing creativity in others while refining his own artistic voice. Now based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Andrew has dedicated himself fully to painting, producing expressive works that merge abstraction with observation. His bold use of texture and layered brushwork conveys both the physicality of place and the fleeting qualities of light, inviting viewers into immersive, atmospheric landscapes.
