Anna is a visual artist, technician and facilitator from Tyne and Wear currently based in PINK, Stockport and FACT, Liverpool. Their practice and research examines themes of cyberfeminism, obsession and identity in a rapidly digitising world. Community engaged practice and technology are central to their research, as of 2026 they will be studying MA: Fine Art (Digital) at UAL Central Saint Martins

My research considers the intersections of cyberfeminism, digital identity, obsession and memory in relation to experiences of disability, gender and class. Through ongoing investigations into post-war new town architecture, online subcultures and the construction of alternative selves, I examine how identity is mediated through technology and shaped by the social landscapes of the industrial North East. I am particularly interested in masking, nostalgia and the tensions between physical and virtual forms of belonging.

My visual practice combines risograph printing, bookbinding, zine-making, installation and moving image to produce tactile encounters with digitally informed subject matter. By weaving together archival material, personal narrative and speculative fiction, I create artist books and installations that challenge dominant narratives surrounding disability, gender and working-class experience. Processes of experimentation, self-publishing and collective production underpin my methodology, reflecting an investment in accessible and community-oriented modes of art making.
