I'm a neurodivergent, female, 19 year old artist based in West Yorkshire who specialises in themes of mental health, gender, and nature. My artwork is commonly a method of empowerment and activism, harnessing creative outlets to help both myself and others understand concepts that words struggle to articulate, or to convey a universal message that is limited by language.
My artistic practice often explores visual representations of mental illness, with this being something I struggle with personally and find it difficult to depict in words alone. I have always enjoyed using creative outlets to express and understand myself, whether through use of acrylics, oil pastels, ink, or pencil drawings. I like to create something beautiful from an experience or feeling that was the opposite; I ultimately make art to make people feel.
